Wormall Civil has been in operation for 39 years and has built a reputation becoming a leading Western Australian Civil Construction company that strives to provide excellence in engineering, construction, and project management services.

We are currently working on multiple projects across the metropolitan area from Two Rocks to Mandurah and from Australind to Margaret River in the southwest region. Our projects have multiple active stages with project values ranging from $500K to $10million. 

Due to strong metro project growth within the organisation we are seeking the services of a competent Underground Utility/Service Locator.

 

Applicants must be able to demonstrate:

  • Minimum of 2 years previous experience as an underground service locator
  • Have a demonstrated understanding of asset locating requirements and asset restrictions
  • An understanding of the Dial Before You Dig (DBYD) service and obtaining asset plans
  • An ability to read and interpret construction plans and drawings
  • An ability to locate assets using visual and physical means
  • Identify, map and mark location, depth and alignment of underground services effectively and efficiently
  • Create and submit service reports of all services identified and located
  • Safely use a variety of techniques such as potholing, non-destructive digging and service locating equipment to identify, locate and mark underground services
  • Experience using a Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and Electro-magnetic Locating device (wand)
  • A great work ethic, positive attitude and ability to work unsupervised
  • Fit and motivated
  • Ability to multitask and problem solve
  • Ability to follow procedures/instructions and comply with HSEQ Regulations
  • A valid manual class Australian driver’s license
  • White Card 

 

 

Desirable:

 

  • RIICCM202D Identify, Locate and Protect Underground Services accreditation
  • DBYD Locator Accreditation
  • Previous experience using vacuum excavation methods
